I was born and brought in Delhi (place in India), where i never witnessed snowfall. Only read in school books and storytails.
While reading those beautiful stories always wished to play
in snow and make snowmanof my own. That beuatiful wish was just residing in one corner of my heart. Saw my first snow in 2008 when moved to Chicago after getting married.
The snowfall in Chicago was unbelieable and way beyond my imagination.
I remember i had a wonderful next door neighbour and adorable was her 4 year old son akshat.
I can clearly recall that it was 3 p.m in afternoon akshat was back from school nocked at my door saying ' look outside its snowing' those were magical words for me.
Locked my house and stepped outside my apartment, the snow falling on my face was feeling cannot be expresed in words.
Snowflakes are just like magical kisses from the heaven.
Enjoyed for couple of minutes, later went to my friend's house we
all sat near the window waiting for enough so, that we can go and make snowman. Had to wait till next day to get enough snow to built a snowman.
Next day due to heavy snowfall schools were closed so akshat came to help, and at last made my first ever Mr snowman.
Took pictures and thought of saving it to the laptop later.
In same week my camera was stolen, sadly my first Mr snowman picture was gone.
But God is kind we moved to England, and in 2012 december made Mr Snowman and Mrs. Snowy.
Took pictures and immedetely saved into laptop (lesson learnt from past experinece). In 2013 decemeber made Mr Snowie The Drummer.
Making snowman is not easy it takes time and patience to stay in cold. The magic of snow is such that i didnot get tired or felt cold while making it, however; once photo session was done felt all of it :) I was extremly happy to fulfill my childhood dream. For three years no heavy snowfall, it felt like snow has just left us. But you never say never.
The wait came to an end,this year on 10th decemeber 2017, had heavy snowfall, this time enjoyed watching it clicking pictures, and taking an easy and comfy way to make Mr. Snowman.
Making your own snowman is definetly an accoplishment however, this season did something effortless.
